Duplex Replacement
We removed all of the old aluminum windows 18 in all, 2 sliding glass doors and 2 entry doors. We also replaced all of the interior trim on all windows and doors. The new interior trim was done in a Craftsman style with primed MDF that was painted before installation. The exterior windows and door are trimmed with exterior grade rough-sawn primed spruce.
Garden Window
This client had a some leaking in their bathroom skylight and kitchen garden window and decided it was time to update both. We installed a new skylight in the bathroom, fixed the water damage, removed the leaky garden window and installed with a roomier Milgard garden window that matched the existing windows much better than the old one. End result beautiful new windows with no leaks.
Large Windows
On this project Island Home Repair assisted another contractor with installing very large pieces of glass. We had a rope and pulley system that helped us place the very heavy pieces in place. It was challenging but fun.
French Door
We removed a window and framed out a new opening for a french door and added stairs and a landing.
Anacortes Glass Door
Island Home Repair was recently hired by returning Anacortes clients to install a screen door on the front and back doors to allow summer breezes in and keep bugs out. Because of the location of the back door it was decided that instead of replacing the whole door, it was better to replace the glass insert with one that opened and had a screen. We then just installed a standard bronze screen door on the front one.
Oak Harbor Door
An Oak Harbor couple bought a vintage 1930's house and decided to upgrade the drafty front door. Their selection was a new wood Anderson door to match the homes unique style. We installed a new storm door as well.
Leaky Windows
Here we removed a couple of old leaky windows and installed and two new windows that the owner had provided. We then re-did some of the siding.
Picture Windows
This client had 3 picture windows that had failed and needed replacing, so we installed 3 new Milgard picture windows.
Security Door
These homeowners had there garage door kicked in by home invaders while they were away. We came in removed the door and installed a new door adding extra security measures to make it harder to break in.
Sunroom
Island Home Repair was awarded the contract to completely refurbish a Coupeville sun room. We removed all the old outdated windows and doors and installed new well-insulated glass windows. We also installed a new window in the downstairs bathroom. The homeowner also asked us to remove and replace any rotten trim and caulk and seal all the windows and doors throughout the house.
Anderson Door
Removed old door and installed beautiful new Anderson Craftsman wood door.
Triple Door
This Coupeville client had a large triple door with two working doors on either end. They decided that it would work better for them to have just one working door in the middle. The new door turned out very nice the clients were very happy.
Skylights
A Coupville homeowner wanted an old Skywall removed and windows and skylights installed in their place. Framing, roofing & siding were also needed in order to complete this project.
