Duplex Replacement
We removed all of the old aluminum windows 18 in all, 2 sliding glass doors and 2 entry doors. We also replaced all of the interior trim on all windows and doors. The new interior trim was done in a Craftsman style with primed MDF that was painted before installation. The exterior windows and door are trimmed with exterior grade rough-sawn primed spruce.
Garden Window
This client had a some leaking in their bathroom skylight and kitchen garden window and decided it was time to update both. We installed a new skylight in the bathroom, fixed the water damage, removed the leaky garden window and installed with a roomier Milgard garden window that matched the existing windows much better than the old one. End result beautiful new windows with no leaks.
Large Windows
On this project Island Home Repair assisted another contractor with installing very large pieces of glass. We had a rope and pulley system that helped us place the very heavy pieces in place. It was challenging but fun.
French Door
We removed a window and framed out a new opening for a french door and added stairs and a landing.
Porch Door
This home owner wanted a door installed on the covered porch of his rental house for added security and better curb appeal.
Old House, New Door
Island Home Repair installed a new door in an older Oak Harbor home. Old door was removed and proper flashing installed. The new door was propery insulated making it much more weather tight and energy saving.
Leaky Windows
Here we removed a couple of old leaky windows and installed and two new windows that the owner had provided. We then re-did some of the siding.
Picture Windows
This client had 3 picture windows that had failed and needed replacing, so we installed 3 new Milgard picture windows.
Security Door
These homeowners had there garage door kicked in by home invaders while they were away. We came in removed the door and installed a new door adding extra security measures to make it harder to break in.
