A client needed help with their car port. The beams were severly rotten at the base. We helped them come up with a plan to fix the problem.

Dry Rot Roof Repair
A returning Oak Harbor client called with water instrusion problem around his chimney, Upon closer inspection, it was decided that the whole chimney need to be replaced due to dry rot. After starting the project, we discovered that the dry rot was worse than first thought. The homeonwer decided to replace the whole side of his roof and the roof cap. We then installed a custom made chimney cap manufactured by Island Heating.
Home Modernization
We helped a client modernize his home with new doors and trim, Can lights and paint. We also removed all the old wall paper from the bathrooms, kitchens and dining room. We sanded and painted all the old dark wood and installed all new MDF trim throughout.
Roof Leak
This returning Clinton client noticed big mushrooms growing out of their carpet and wall. Upon further inspection, a roof leak was discovered. The homeowner decided to do some further updates like remove all the rotten siding and delaminated 50 + year sheathing, install new sheathing, reinstall the windows, and install a new metal roof. We had to repair the damaged interior wall, fix a rotten beam, and install new “Pergo” flooring and new oak stair treads and risers.
Coupeville Cabin
A Coupeville home owner needed her old cabin refurbished. We tore down the rotten landing and crumbling awning. We built a bigger porch and awning, built and installed a new planter box, fixed a dry rot on the roof, installed new facia board and gutters. We then installed new windows and modified the cabinets and counter tops.
The owner of this project was so impressed with our quality craftsmanship that she retained Island Home Repair to completely renovate the interior and exterior of the cabin. We removed the low false ceiling in order to make a vaulted ceiling. We completely refurbished the ceiling and most of the walls, painted the entire interior, and refinished the beautiful wood floors. She also now asked us to add a bathroom to the cabin, which we did.
We also be resided one side of the cabin which was beyond repair and, while we had the opportunity, added insulation to the part of the wall. We reorganized the entire under section of the cabin, insulated the floor joist bays and cleaned it up. We repainted and stained the entire exterior of the cabin making it the perfect little retreat.
Pellet Stove
We helped a client install a pellet burning stove in his living room.
Dry Rot
This client had severe dry rot around both garage doors and rim board. Removed all dry rot and rebuilt.
Family Room
Remodeled a family room with built in bookshelves, fireplace, new floor, new trim and a new door.
Clinton Home Upgrade
This Clinton home owner and returning client wanted some upgrades performed on their Whidbey Island home. We installed new window in the garage, trimmed out several windows, and enhanced the entryway by installing a tongue and groove fir to the ceiling. We also wrapped the round posts making them much more ornate and welcoming. We then painted all the new work.
